“IT IS AN EMPTY VICTORY TO WIN IN A COURTROOM AND LOSE IN THE EYES
OF THE PUBLIC. OUR GOAL IS TO WIN IN BOTH”.
At XD Law & Advocacy we complement litigation with vigorous public and political advocacy where required.
Very few Australian law firms have the skills or the mindset to offer this unique combination.

MARK DAVIS
is well known as a foreign correspondent and investigative journalist but he has for a number of years been applying those same forensic skills to the practice of law. Drawing upon an array of legal, political and media contacts across Asia and the Pacific much of his legal work continues to have an international focus. He acts for individuals or businesses embroiled in criminal or civil disputes throughout the region.

NATALIJA NIKOLIĆ
leads XD’s litigation team. She has extensive experience managing complex disputes involving multiple parties and high volumes of documents. She practices across broad areas including defamation, equity and corporations law. Natalija has acted in prominent whistleblower, freedom of speech and public interest cases in Australia. She is a formidable advocate with a deep belief that litigation can expose and challenge injustice.
SERVICES
XD Law & Advocacy provides legal and strategic advice to individuals and businesses in complex public disputes.
We are not a general services law firm. Our focus is upon litigation when needed as well as public advocacy of our client’s interests.
For more conventional legal services relating to contracts, trusts, tax, mergers etc we can recommend a number of suitable firms.
DEFENDING REPUTATIONAL
ATTACKS
XD Law & Advocacy defends the reputations and assets of individuals and businesses through defamation and injurious falsehood actions. Uniquely we take a holistic approach to reputational assaults.
We take up the fight on behalf of our clients wherever it is needed – in court, in the media or in public forums.
For retained clients we have a dedicated team monitoring media, social media and general public commentary relating to them.
PUBLIC INTEREST
AND CLASS ACTIONS
We run cases for groups of people or businesses who have suffered injuries or losses and who cannot afford to individually pursue legal justice on their own.
Large corporations and government bodies are well accustomed to running down the resources of individuals who dare issue a legal challenge to them. Class actions can greatly reduce the time, cost and risk for a group of individuals seeking redress for their injury. Class actions are often of a very public nature with significant political dimensions to them. That is a battlefield that suits XD Law & Advocacy well.
ADVOCACY AND LITIGATION IN
FOREIGN JURISDICTIONS
We have an array of political, media and legal contacts in a large number of countries. We advise and represent Australians entangled in civil disputes or criminal proceedings with a particular focus on South East Asian and Pacific jurisdictions.
Working in tandem with a network of local lawyers we navigate the judicial, bureaucratic and political processes ensnaring Australian businesses or individuals.
LANDOWNER
REPRESENTATION
We have experience with a variety of land ownerships systems that operate throughout Melanesia, the Pacific and South East Asia. Individual and communal landowners are often badly exploited through poor asset agreements – logging, fishing, mining or the lease of agricultural land.
We advise landowners in the Asia/Pacific region in securing agreements for the management of their resources – through renegotiating expiring deals or casting a wider net for new partnerships.
