  • Mark Davis

    Mark is well known as a foreign correspondent and investigative journalist but he has for a number of years been applying those same forensic skills to the practice of law. Drawing upon an array of legal, political and media contacts across Asia and the Pacific much of his legal work continues to have an international focus. He acts for individuals or businesses embroiled in criminal or civil disputes throughout the region.

  • Jack Vaughan

    Jack looks at complex problems from multiple perspectives. His practice is informed by broad exposure to numerous areas including fraud, employment, equity and administrative law in NSW, QLD, ACT and Federal Courts. With a background in mathematics, Jack uses his analytical proficiency to cut through high volume datasets and complex financial information. Jack builds strong relationships quickly, devoting himself to empowering clients through litigation and relentless advocacy.

  • Sharangan Maheswaran

    Sharangan Maheswaran

    Sharangan is a practising environmental lawyer specialising in maritime and planning law. He has undertaken several high-profile cases throughout his extensive legal practice. Sharangan has previously volunteered in public transparency cases and advocated in refugee matters as well as charities providing COVID-19 relief.

  • Priyanka Tomar

    Priyanka uses her in-depth knowledge of court procedures and systems, gained as an Associate at the ACT Supreme Court, as a tool to hold institutions to account and challenge illegitimate uses of authority. Priyanka is experienced in civil litigation and criminal law, as an advocate in cases against police, gambling companies and discrimination.

  • Charlie Carpenter

    Charlie has expertise in litigation, arbitration, Royal Commissions and experience working in corporate and commercial law. Combining this experience with strong client relationship skills, advocacy and creativity, Charlie guides clients with confidence through even the most challenging legal matters.

  • Audrey Mims

    Audrey works in XD’s paralegal team. She is in her final year at the Australian National University studying Law and Politics, Philosophy and Economics. Audrey is a campaigner for sexual violence prevention and contributed to the development of the Education Minister’s Action Plan Addressing Gender-based Violence in Higher Education released in 2024. Audrey is a board director, podcast host and accomplished activist.

  • Nick Gibson

    Nick is part of XD’s paralegal team – the firm’s operational backbone. He is in his final year at the Australian National University studying law and international security. Nick has been a paralegal for about three-years and has sharp research and investigative skills. He also acts as a student editor of the Federal Law Review, a leading academic journal that specialises in public and constitutional law.
